The Grand Strategy Matrix

This has become a useful tool for the formulation of alternative strategies. It consists of a four-quadrant graph where it lists different strategic options depending on the strong or weak competitive position of the company and its industry growth.

In order to create this matrix accurately our company used the SPACE Matrix to analyse the current situation of the business regarding its competitors and the industry.

We concluded that our business is positioned in the Quadrant II, although we still can not diversify due to lack of capital and human resources. For our company and taking into account that we are located in Quadrant II, is an excellent strategic position, and continued concentration in current markets and products, but althougth we are unable to compete effectively.
