The strengths of the competitors are the brand positioning of they have, so the customers know them and their products are high quality and are brands that have years in the market, so the experience of the changes of the market are a big strength.

 

What are the major competitors weaknesses?

 

The weaknesses of our competitors are the high prices of their products, that means that only a part of the smartphones users could have an external battery, another weakness is the distribution of the product, the distribution dont reach all the points that are important, for example, RAVPower reach Colombian markets by retailers.

 

What are the major competitors objectives and strategies?

 

The strategies and objectives of the companies is to provide a good service and give to the customer an premium portable charger, the style and the size of the products are interesting to the customer, the companies that offer more products than only the charger like sony or samsung, offer the integration of their products, the promotion of buying various products of the same brand.

Economic factors will affect the industry to that brands, because the products are imported they are very susceptible to the changes of the price of the dollar, so the products will be with higher prices when the price of dollar increase.

Socio/cultural factors are factors that are affecting the industry because the changes of the use of the smartphones are changing all the communication, so the companies are taking advantage of that situation to developing devices that can supply the demand of tecnological products.

demographic  the companies are not responding so well to the demographic factos, because they are not including the colombian market to sell directly the products, so the retailers have to sell it in Colombia,

Technological factors are responding so well because they are developing constantly new products and researching to innovate in the markets.

the major competitors are vulnerable to our alternative company strategies because they are not satisfying at all the needs of the customers so, our project is to innovate new devices that can being the perfect solution to the people.

Our company are vulnerable because with the big branding of their companies they have all the attention of the customers, but the good service and high quality of our products will prevail on the counterattacks of the competitors.

Our company will give that the competitors don't give to the customers, solutions, hight quality products and good service, that factors will attract the people to know the experience of buying an external battery with us.

The new firms in the market are low and with products with not a high quality, so their products are not relevant to the customers, the old firms are not leaving the industry because the level of innovation in products of these companies are high and brand positioning are making the old companies to survive and grow in the industry.

there are two factors that affect heavily the industry that are the economic and the technological, the economic are the price of the dollar that are increasing and that means the import products will increase the prices, our product being an local product will take advantage of the lower prices and the hight quality of our products to increase the brand positioning, and the technological because the products are being affected by the innovation, so the old products are in the past, and the new products are the future, our company want to be a really innovation company to always develop new products.

ā€œThe South Korean company posted quarterly revenue of 51.68 trillion Korean won, or $45 billion. up 8.9% year-over-year.ā€  Samsung are growing very fast in the economy, the profits are increasing, the growing are cause of the developing of new technologies on smartphones and the sales on this, are really popular to the customers, but the external batteries are not very popular.

 

What is the nature of supplier and distributor relationships in this industry?

 

The nature of the companies that have no market in colombia but the retaliers are who bring the products to Colombia, are of distributor/retailer relationship, into the companies that have their own companies here, there is manufactured in other countries and import here.

 

To what extent could substitute products or services be a threat to competitors in the industry?

 

First the extent will be low, because the competition is really high and the brand positiong is really big to this companies, but when the customers know our products that are interesting and new to the public in general, with innovating products and devices the competence will be greater.
